Founded in 1620 at the behest of King Philip III of Spain, the university was modelled on the great Spanish universities, such as Salamanca. It originally offered courses in Theology, Law, Medicine and Philosophy. Today, it is a public university with a wide range of courses and strong ties to the Sardinian territory.
The collaboration with Global Thinking Foundation was started in 2021 on the issue of economic violence and continued with the event ‘La Violenza Silenziosa’ (Silent Violence), organised together with local organisations and networks, with the aim of launching financial education initiatives aimed at students.
