Our activities to support women in the sporting world continue apace! We were guests as Match Sponsor of the Vero Volley Monza women’s team in a play-off for the Scudetto that saw our volleyball players win three to zero! An exciting occasion to spread the word to more than 4000 sold-out fans in the beautiful Monza arena about the importance of gender equality, women’s empowerment and the value that women bring to the world of sport. To the cry of women and sport a winning combination, we were delighted to have awarded the best player on the pitch and to have met the two winners of our quiz on financial education! This is just the beginning of a wonderful collaboration that continues with Vero Volley Young for the dissemination of financial education to the younger generation.
Paola Egonu voted best world player 2024
2024 was a historic year for Italian women’s volleyball, with success at club level and an Olympic gold medal for the national team at the Paris Games. To certify this moment of glory, Volleyball World honoured Paola Egonu as the best player in the world and motivated the award by emphasising Paola’s fundamental role in leading Italy to victory in the VNL and Olympic triumph, adding another prestigious title to her career.
Club World Championship 2024: Vero Volley Milan Third in the World – 22 December, Hangzhou (China)
Vero Volley Milano won third place at the 2024 Club World Championship, a historic feat that confirms the strength of the team. The competition, which took place in Hangzhou, China, saw the Milan girls fight with determination against the best teams in the world, achieving a well-deserved podium place. This result adds another important milestone to the club’s already brilliant season, consolidating its position among the world elite of women’s volleyball.
